인미협, 김영오의 거짓말 교황청에 알린다
"이혼 후 두 딸 어렵게 키웠다" 거짓말 드러나

인미협(대표 변희재)과 자유청년연합(대표 장기정)이 김영오씨와 세월호 유족이 지난 8월 17일 내한한 프란체스코 교황에 보낸 편지 중 "이혼 이후 두 딸을 어렵게 키우던 유민아빠는 유민이를 잃고서 30일 넘는 단식으로 온 몸이 말라가고"라는 부분이 거짓이라는 점을 명시한 공문을 8월 26일 오후 2시 30분 주한교황청 대사관에 보낸다.
두 딸의 양육은 김영오씨가 아니라 그의 전처와 전 장모가 도맡았고, 김영오씨는 양육비조차 제때 지급하지 않은 것으로 드러난 것.
이 대목은 영어로 된 공문에서는 다음과 같이 표현되었다.
"Yoomin's father had been suffering to take care of his two daughters after getting divorced. As a message of protesting, he has fasted for more than 30 days and as a result, he is starving."
It is very important to realize the truth behind this. According to Mr. Young-Oh Kim's anecdotes in recent interviews, he did not see his daughters quite often. His daughters were being taken care by his ex-wife. For the last 10 years, he did not pay childcare expense properly. This is what he admitted himself.
교황은 김영오씨와 세월호 유족들이 보낸 편지에 대해 답장을 하겠다는 의사를 밝혔기에, 김영오씨와 세월호 유족들의 거짓에 대해 교황청의 입장에 관심이 주목되고 있다.
다음은 인미협이 주한교황청 대사관에 보낸 영문 공문 전문
Dear Pope Francisco, Your Holiness
It is my honor to have this opportunity to introduce myself to your holiness.
My name is Heejae Byun, a chairman of Korea Internet Media Association(KIMA). KIMA is a association composed of 23 internet medias in Korea.
Above all, we would like to wholeheartedly show our gratitude to your holiness,for visiting Korea and praying for Koreans. I am writing to remind your holiness of something very important regarding your recent visit.
Most Koreans have witnessed your holiness receiving a letter from Mr. Young-Oh Kim, one of the parents of Sewolho's victims, known as Yoomin's father.
In that letter, they mentioned as following:
