전원책의 보수이야기 ♥제357신 흔히 사회문화적으로 보수주의는 점진적 변화를 추구한다고 합니다
진보주의는 개혁과 변화를 추구하지요. 같은 좌파이면서도 미국의 리버럴리즘(현대 자유주의)과 달리 '집단주의-사회주의'를 추구하는 탓에 '급진 좌파' 경향을 가질 수밖에 없습니다. 내가 보편적복지 정책을 급진좌파Radical Left라고 부르는 이윱니다. 사실 '좌우'개념은 '변화'와는 별 상관없지만 오늘날 모든 문명국이 자본주의와 민주주의 체제임을 볼 때 좌파가 진보와 결합한 건 당연한 결과입니다. 그런데 파시즘은 변화를 강하게 추구했지만 '진보주의'라고 하진 않습니다. 진보주의Progressive가 2차대전 뒤에 사용한 개념이기 때문입니다. 폴 슈메이커는 파시즘이 '개인의 자유와 권리를 엄격하게 통제하면서 집단의 강화를 중시'하기 때문에 진보가 아니라 극우적이라고 합니다. 파시즘은 '위계적 질서사회의 이점을 강조하고 권력과 특권의 평등주의적 분배를 반대'하므로 일부 보수주의자들이 지지했다고 쓰고 있습니다. 그런데 슈메이커가 말한 파시즘의 우파적 내용 둘 다 스탈린의 전위당 민주의의를 말한 것 같지 않습니까? 그렇다면 공산주의도 극우사상인가요? 하긴 무솔리니는 골수 마르크스주의자였습니다.
