 전여옥 박근혜 정조준 시대정신과 맞지 않아
 

"약속 못 지킨 박근혜로 남는게 더 훌륭할 수도 있어"

한나라당 전여옥 의원이 지난 2007년 대선에서 MB지지선언을 하면서 박근혜 전 대표를 떠난 이유를 말했다. 앞으로 발행될  8월호에서다. 

이 보도에 따르면 "오랫동안 박 전 대표를 지켜보면서 당 대표로서 큰일을 했다고 생각하고, 지금도 인정하고 있다. 그러나 시대정신에 맞는 지도자로 생각하진 않는다"고 밝혔다. 

이어 "(당시) 정권교체는 반드시 해야 했고 누가 더 우리의 뜻을 실현시킬 후보인가를 냉정하게 생각해봤을 때 MB를 택한 것"이라며 "그것 때문에 비난도 받았지만 후회하지 않는다. 같은 상황이었다면 또 같은 결정을 했을 것"이라고 말했다. 

전 의원은 또 세종시 문제와 관련한 박 전 대표의 원안고수 입장에 대해선 "자기가 약속을 했으니 지켜야 한다는 입장인 게 맞다"면서도 "하지만 정치적 유연성·상상력은 부족하다고 생각한다"고 지적했다. 

그러면서 "강도 없는데 다리 놔주겠다고 하는 공약보다 더 나쁜 건 당선되니까 공약 지켜야 된다고 강도 없는데 진짜 다리 놔주는 것"이라며 "자기 자신이 오해를 받고, 약속 안 지키는 사람으로 남는게 나라를 위해서는 더 도움이 될 때도 있다"고 강조했다. 

덧붙여 "이 나라와 사회를 위해서 좋은 거라고 생각하면 약속을 못 지킨 박근혜로 남는게 더 훌륭할 수도 있다는 거죠"라고 했다.
