정몽준한일 어업협정 파기해라
"2차 어업협정 일방잘못 통보시 무효가능"
한나라당 정몽준 최고위원은 독도를 중간 수역에 포함시킨 '한일 어업협정' 파기를 촉구했다.
정 최고위원은 17일 서울 여의도 당사에서 열린 최고위원회의에서 "지난 1999년 2차 한일어업협정 당시 EEZ(배타적경제수역)을 정할 때 기점을 울릉도로 설정했고, 독도는 중간수역으로 했다"면서 "이는 국제법상 개념이 아닌데 일본이 잘못된 생각을 하게 한 빌미가 됐다"고 말했다.
정 최고위원은 이어 "제2차 어업협정은 양방이 체결한 협정이지만 어느 일방이 잘못을 통보해 6개월이 지나면 무효화될 수 있는 협정"이라며 "우리 정부가 한일 어업협정 종료를 일본 정부에 정식으로 통보할 것을 촉구한다"고 목소리를 높였다.
