국정원 “북한 연계 지하당 법과 원칙에 따라 수사”
“피의자·참고인 등 관련자…인권과 방어권 최대한 보장”

국가정보원은 북한 연계 지하당 사건 수사와 관련, “명백한 인적 물적 증거를 토대로 법과 원칙에 따라 수사를 진행하고 있다”며, “일부 정당에서 주장하는 ‘정치적 의도’는 전혀 없다”고 2일 밝혔다.
국정원은 또 “피의자나 참고인 등 관련자 조사과정에서 인권과 방어권을 최대한 보장하고 있다”며, “일부 피의자들이 주장하는 ‘욕설’ 등은 전혀 사실무근”이라고 강조했다.
아울러, “오히려 변호사들이 청사 방문객이 거쳐야 하는 통상적인 보안검색대 통과 절차를 거부하고 출석한 피의자나 참고인들을 데리고 돌아가는 등 지난 7월 12일부터 10여차례에 걸쳐서 합법적인 수사 활동을 방해받고 있다”고 설명했다.
그러면서 “이번 사건은 특정 정치세력과는 무관한 전형적인 지하당 간첩사건으로 각종 증거를 바탕으로 수사를 진행하고 있다”고 강조하고 “적법절차에 따른 수사에 대해 특정 정치권과 단체가 사실과 다른 주장을 제기한 데 대해 강한 유감”이라고 표명했다.
