부산항 세계 5위 컨테이너 처리항만으로 복귀

국토해양부(장관 정종환)는 지난 2월 전국 무역항에서 처리한 항만물동량은 총 9,349만톤으로 지난해 동월(8,705만톤) 대비 7.4% 증가했다고 25일밝혔다.
항만별로 살펴보면, 평택·당진항은 현대제철의 철광석 수입증가로 전년 동월대비 15.9%, 광양항은 유연탄 및 유류 등의 수출입 물동량 증가에 힘입어 14.6%로 증가하였으며, 포항항은 철광석 및 무연탄의 수입 감소로 8.6%의 감소세를 보였다.
품목별로 살펴보면, 유연탄과 시멘트 및 유류는 지난해 동월대비 각각 30.4%, 11.2%, 10.7%로 크게 증가하였으며, 화학제품과 광석은 각각 8.1%, 0.6%의 감소세를 보였다.
한편, 2월 컨테이너 처리실적은 수출입물량 증가에 힘입어 전년 동월 대비 6.2% 증가한 1,454천TEU을 기록하였다. 이는 역대 2월 최고 실적이다. 화물별로는 수출입 930천TEU, 환적 498천TEU, 연안 26천TEU로 나타났다.
또한, 국내 최대 항만인 부산항은 1,090천TEU를 처리하여 닝보-저우산항(‘11.1월 5위)을 제치고 세계 5위로 복귀하였으며, 광양항 및 인천항은 각각 전년 동월 대비 13.4%, -11.6%의 증감률을 보였다.
