 겨울철 농작물 피해면적 32배 증가
 농어업시설물 피해면적도 급증

겨울철 농작물과 농·어업시실물 피해는 매년 꾸준히 발생하고, 특히 농작물 피해면적은 최근 5년간 32배나 증가한 것으로 나타났다.
 

국회 농림수산식품위원회 소속 황영철 한나라당 의원은 17일 “2006년 농작물 피해면적은 1,761ha였지만 2010년엔 56,527ha로 급증했다”고 밝혔다. 
 

또한 “농·어업시설물에 대한 피해도 매년 꾸준히 발생해 하우스, 인삼시설, 버섯시설, 축사 등 피해면적이 2006년 92.7ha였으나, 2010년엔 1,299ha로 14배 증가했다”고 전했다.
 

황 의원은 “특히 올 들어 지난 11일 영동지방의 기록적 폭설로 농업분야만 강원도 80억 원, 경북 39억 원의 피해가 발생해 겨울철 농·수산물 및 시설물 피해예방 대책이 시급하다”고 강조했다.
 

한편 수산물 피해는 2006년 이상조류로 131억 3,600만 원이 발생했고, 2007년 75억 7,300만 원, 2009년 59억 8,500만 원이 발생한 바 있다.
