워싱턴 포스트 “김정은 북한 내 관심 떨어져”

북한 김정일 국방위원장의 후계자로 알려진 김정은이 국제사회에서 주목 받고 있지만, 오히려 북한 내에서는 큰 관심을 끌지 못하고 있다고 미국의 ‘워싱턴포스트’ 신문이 보도했습니다.
이 신문은 8일 북한의 관영신문이 김정은을 찬양하지 않고 있으며, 우표나 뱃지, 책 표지, 건물 등에서 그의 사진을 찾아볼 수 없으며, 공식행사에 등장할 때도 김정일 국방위원장 뒤에 말없이 서 있는 모습뿐이라며 이같이 전했습니다.
그러면서 북한은 김정은이 후계자로 공식 등장한 이후 최근 3개월간 그에 대한 선전 활동을 줄이고 있는 것 같다며, 이는 권력승계에 대한 주민들의 반대나 김정일 위원장 장수에 대한 기대를 반영한 것일 수 있다고 신문은 설명했습니다.
신문은 특히 김정일 위원장이나 김일성 전 주석의 생일이 공휴일인 반면, 김정은의 생일인 1월8일은 아직까지 기념일로 공식 지정되지 않은 상태라고 지적했습니다.
