 조정래의 誤解 한반도는 엄연한 1민족 2국가 체제

 '태백산맥'의 著者 조정래씨는 작년 3월2일 웨스틴조선호텔에서 열린 태백산맥 200쇄 출판 기념 기자간담회에서 이런 말을 한 것으로 기록되어 있다. 
 
  "한반도는 엄연한 1민족 2국가 체제이므로 국가 간에 합의한 것은 지켜야 한다. 정부는 6·15 선언 등 지난 정권에서 북한과 합의한 것을 성실히 지켜라."(조선닷컴). 
 
 
 이 보도가 사실이라면, 그는 反국가단체인 북한을 대한민국과 동등한 국가로 호칭하였다. 대한민국 헌법은 대한민국만이 한반도의 유일한 합법국가임을 분명히 하고, 북한정권을, 우리 영토인 북한지역을 不法점령한 단체로 규정한다. 북한정권도 대한민국을 국가로 인정하지 않는다. 그가 한 말대로 "한반도가 엄연한 1민족 2국가 체제"라면 통일을 할 수 없다. 한 국가가 다른 국가를 상대로 통일을 시도하는 것은 침략이 된다. 대한민국은 북한정권을 국가로 인정하지 않으므로 자유통일을 하려는 것이고 북한정권도 대한민국을 국가로 인정하지 않으므로 赤化통일을 하려는 것이다.
 
 대한민국 국민은 북한정권을 절대로 '국가'라고 불러선 안된다. 이것은 국민의 의무이다. 소설가와 예술가에게도 해당한다. 예술은 國境이 없지만 예술가에겐 국경이 있다. 
 
 조씨의 발언은, 헌법의 기본을 모르고, 한반도의 현실을 오해한 것이다. 이런 사람이 쓴 소설이 어떤 수준인지는 읽어보지 않아도 알겠다.
