 스웨덴 국회는 우향우右向右
 첫 원내진입 ‘극우’ 정당에 주목

‘좌파의 천국’으로 알려진 스웨덴에서 사상 처음으로 ‘극우’ 정당이 의회 진출에 성공했다는 소식이다.

 
주요 언론보도들에 따르면 19일 실시된 스웨덴 총선에서 프레드리크 레인펠트 총리가 이끄는 ‘중도우파’ 연정이 승리했으나, 과반 의석 확보엔 실패했다. 

 
온건당·자유당·중도당·기독교민주당 등 4개 정당이 참여한 ‘중도우파’ 연합체 은 49.3%를 득표, 43.6%에 그친 중도좌파 (사민당+녹색당+좌파당)을 물리치면서 재집권이 유력해졌다.

 
특히 스웨덴 사상 처음으로 ‘극우’ 정당이라는 이 의회 진출에 성공했다. 무엇보다 이 ‘극우’ 정당이 스웨덴 의회 내에서 향후 정책 결정의 캐스팅보트를 쥐게 돼, 유럽 정치계에도 큰 파장이 예상된다는 것. 

 
의석 분포를 보면 총의석 349석 가운데 ‘중도우파’(동맹)는 과반수인 175석에 3석 모자라는 172석, ‘중도좌파’(적-록 연합)는 157석, ‘극우’(스웨덴 민주당)는 20석을 확보했다. 

 
이중 ‘극우’ 정당은 의회 진출 저지선인 4%를 넘는 5.8%의 득표율을 확보, 사상 처음 원내에 진출하는 이변을 보였다. 

 
어느 진영도 과반 의석을 얻지 못하는 소위 ‘헝의회’(Hung Parliament) 탄생이 임박한 가운데, 스웨덴 정권의 ‘캐스팅보트’를 극우정당이 쥐게 됐다는 분석이다.
