 ‘자유민주주의국민협의회’ 발족
 “北 못지않게 규탄할 상대는 친북세력”

‘자유민주주의국민협의회 발족 준비위원회’(가칭. 이하 위원회)는 27일 오전 10시 서울 프레스센터 20층 국제회의장에서 약식강연회 및 시국기자회견을 갖는다고 밝혔다.
 

위원회에는 자유기업원, 안보전략연구소, 국가정상화추진위원회, 자유민주연구학회, 나라정책원, 한국통일진흥원 등의 단체들이 참여한다.
 

이들은 천안함 문제와 관련, “예상대로 북한 김정일 정권의 소행임이 여실히 드러났다”며 “북한의 이번 만행은 당연히 국민의 목소리로 규탄되고, 보복 응징되어야 마땅하다”고 말했다. 그러면서 “우리의 대응조치가 미약하면 제2, 제3의 도발이 우려된다”고 덧붙였다.
 

특히 “북한 못지않게 규탄돼야 할 상대는 한국 내 친북좌익 세력”이라며, “북한과 국내 친북좌익 세력을 규탄하고, 자유민주주의 국민에게 힘을 불어넣어 주기 위해” 이번 행사를 갖는다고 취지를 설명했다.
 

신혜식 독립신문 대표의 사회로 진행되는 이날 행사에는 한나라당 황진하·윤상현 의원이 축사를 위해 참여하며 서해교전(2002년 2차 연평해전) 당시 감청부대장이었던 한철용 前 5679정보부대장을 비롯해 이동복 북한민주화포럼 대표, 이춘근 뉴라이트국제정책센터 대표, 제성호 중앙대 교수 등이 강사로 나설 예정이다.
 

위원회는 이날 행사 홍보를 위해 26일자 조선일보와 문화일보에 의견광고를 낼 계획이다.
