오죽 참담하고 절망했으면 20대 여교사가 학교에서 극단선택을 했을까?
교권 추락으로 교사가 학생에게 폭행, 성희롱 당하거나 학부모에게 폭언과 멱살을 잡히는 패륜이 줄을 잇
는 건 진보·좌파성향 교육감들이 2010년에 도입한 ‘학생인권조례’ 탓이 크다.
이번 일로 교육부장관이 관련 조례 등을 정비하겠다지만, 더 근본적인 문제는 가정에 있다.
6·25 당시 소실된 학교시설 복구를 위해 각급학교에 학부모와 특별찬조자로 조직된 ‘기성회(期成會)’가
후에 ‘육성회’에 이어 ‘학부모회’가 되어 학부모들이 교육 정상화의 지원자 역할을 해왔다.
그러나 인성(人性)교육이 실종된 학교교육을 받은 현 학부모 세대의 가정에서 아이들은 부모의 과잉보호
속에 인내, 절제, 배려의 인성을 배우지 못하며 성장한다.
사자소학(四字小學)에 ‘事師如親 必敬必恭(사사여친 필경필공)’이라는 가르침이 있다.
‘스승 섬기기를 어버이 섬기듯 하고, 반드시 공경, 공손하게 받들어야 한다’는 뜻이다.
가정교육이 상실된 요즘 세태엔 대우탄금(對牛彈琴)일 수도 있으나, 막무가내의 부모들부터 새겨들어야
자녀를 바르게 키울 수 있다.
