 부스터샷 간격 3개월로 단축…13일부터 사전예약 시작
 추진단 "방역상황 악화·변이바이러스 대비…3차 접종 적극 참여해야"

18세 이상 모든 성인의 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19) 백신 2차 접종과 3차 접종의 간격이 3개
월로 단축된다. 3차 접종 기간이 다가온 대상자 오는 13일부터 사전예약할 수 있다.


10일 코로나19 예방접종대응추진단은 18세 이상 전체를 대상으로 2차 접종 완료 후 3차 접종(부스터
샷) 간격을 3개월로 단축한다고 밝혔다.


지금까지는 60세 이상 고령층 및 18~59세 고위험군은 4개월, 18~59세 일반국민은 5개월 이후로 접종 
간격을 권고했다. 해외출국·질병치료 등 개인 사정이나 단체접종 일정상 불가피한 경우에 한해 잔여백
신으로 각각 1개월씩 간격을 줄일 수 있었다.


그러나 일일 확진자 수가 사흘 연속 7000명대를 넘어서는 등 최근 코로나19 확산세가 심각해 백신 추가
접종 속도를 높일 필요가 있다는 게 당국의 판단이다.


당국은 일괄 변경된 3차 접종 간격에 따라 접종 간격이 도래한 국민을 대상으로 오는 13일부터 사전예
약을 실시한다.


사전예약은 기존 방식과 동일하게 코로나19 예방접종 사전예약누리집(http://ncvr.kdca.go.kr)을 통해 
진행되며, 예약일을 기준으로 2일 후부터 접종일 선택이 가능하다.


추진단은 "최근 국내 방역상황이 악화된데다 델타·오미크론 유행 확산에 선제적으로 대비하기 위한 
것"이라며 "중증 예방과 고령층 보호란 목표에 더해 단계적 일상회복에 따른 코로나19 유행을 억제하기 
위해 18세 이상 연령층의 모든 2차 접종 완료자들은 3차 접종에 적극 참여해달라"고 말했다.
