 한나라 촛불집회 중단해라
 "MB탄핵투쟁 등… 촛불집회 순수성 의심돼"


한나라당은 미국산 쇠고기 수입에 반대하는 촛불집회가 곳곳에서 열리고 있는 가운데 "촛불의 의미를 왜곡하고 있는 집회는 중단돼야한다"고 말했다.

한나라당 김대은 부대변인은 지난 9일 논평을 통해 "대통령과 정부가 국민건강과 안전을 위해 광우병 소 발생 시, 수입중단 등의 단호한 조치를 약속했다"면서 "미국산 광우병 소 수입반대 구실로 열리고 있는 촛불집회가 이제는 중단돼야 한다"며 이같이 말했다. 김 부대변인은 "더 이상의 촛불집회는 광우병 걱정만이 아닌 다른 불순한 목적이 있다는 것을 확인해주는 것일 뿐"이라고 규정한 뒤 "이미 촛불집회를 주도해온 2MB 탄핵투쟁연대란 인터넷 카페 등의 세력들은 광우병 파동 이전부터 정치활동을 해왔었고, 운영진도 야당 당원으로 알려져 그 순수성을 의심받아 왔다"고 주장했다.

김 부대변인은 "국민불안 심리를 악용해 취임 두 달 밖에 안 된 대통령 탄핵까지 외치는 것은 국민건강만을 우려한 집회일 수 없다"며 "감수성 예민한 학생들까지 이용해 불순한 정치적 목적을 위한 정치선동의 장이 돼버린 촛불집회를 당장 중단하라"고 거듭 촉구했다.
