회담 앞두고 트위터에 글…"진짜합의 이뤄질지 곧 알게될 것" 강조
도널드 트럼프 미국 대통령은 12일(싱가포르 현지시간) 북미정상회담과 관련, "과거와 달리 이번에는 진
짜 합의가 이뤄질 수 있을지 곧 알게 될 것"이라고 말했다.
트럼프 대통령은 이날 싱가포르 센토사 섬의 카펠라 호텔에서 열리는 북미정상회담을 몇시간 앞두고 올린
트위터 글에서 이같이 밝혔다.
트럼프 대통령은 "양측 참모들과 대표단 사이의 회담은 순조롭고 빠르게 진행되고 있다"며 "그러나 그것
은 결국에는 중요하지 않다"고 말해, 정상 간 최종 결단이 중요함을 강조했다.
트럼프 대통령은 또한 "내가 회담을 한다는 사실이 미국에는 중대한 손실이라고 (나를) 싫어하는 사람들
과 패자들이 말한다"며 "인질들이 돌아왔고 (핵·미사일) 실험과 연구, 그리고 모든 미사일 발사가 중단됐
는데 말이다"라고 회담 성과에 대한 일각의 회의론 내지 비판적 전망에 대해 반박했다.
그는 "나더러 처음부터 잘못됐다고 하는 이들 전문가라는 사람들은 이런 것 말고는 할 수 있는 말이 없
