 국회촛불가담자 야단칠자격있나
 정몽준"매년 헌법위반하는 국회, 쇼 제대로 해라"


한나라당 정몽준 최고위원은 15일 "매년 헌법을 위반하는 국회가 법률을 위반했다는 (촛불집회 가담한) 사람들 야단칠 자격이 있느냐"고 비판했다.

이날 서울 여의도 당사에서 열린 최고위원회의에서 정 최고위원은 "현행 예산심사제도의 가장 큰 문제는 국회가 매년 헌법을 위반하고 있다는 사실"이라고 주장하면서 이같이 말했다. 정 최고위원은 "아침 보도를 보니 촛불집회에 가담한 사람들이 아직도 조사를 받고 있다고 한다"며 "우리 국회는 매년 헌법을 위반하고 있는데 이런 국회가 법률을 위반했다는 사람들(촛불집회 가담자) 야단칠 자격이 있느냐"고 말했다.

정 최고위원은 2004년 개원협상 당시를 예로 들어 "정권이 바뀌면 야당은 예산심의제도를 고치자고 하고 여당은 안된다고 하는데 정파적 이해관계에 함몰되지 말고 국회의 바람직한 모습이 어떤 것인지 생각해보면서 초심으로 돌아가 전반적으로 생각해봐야 한다"고 말했다.

정 최고위원은 "정치가 쇼라고 하는데 쇼를 하더라도 제대로 된 쇼를 해야 한다"며 "예산안 심사제도를 고치려고 하면 야당에는 좋고 정부는 불편하니까 하지 말자고 얘기하는데 예산심사는 국민 시각에서 바라봐야 한다"고 말했다. 이어 "여당과 정부간에 생산적 긴장감이 오히려 정부를 도와주는 것이라고 생각한다"며 "여당은 정부 대리인으로 인식되고 야당은 무조건 정부에 반대해야 한다는 정치권의 편견과 관행도 고쳐야 한다"고 강조했다.
