길환영 전 KBS 사장 ‘부당해임’ 밝혀지나
길 전 사장 해임 무효 소송 제기
세월호 침몰 사고와 관련해 김시곤 전 보도국장의 ‘부당 압력’ 폭로가 촉발한 이른바 KBS 사태로 인해 해임된 길환영 전 KBS 사장(60)이 박근혜 대통령을 상대로 해임 무효 소송을 제기했다.
길 전 사장은 지난 7일 대통령의 해임 조치는 부당하므로 이를 취소해달라는 내용의 소장을 서울행정법원에 낸 것으로 21일 알려졌다.
길 전 사장은 소장에서 자신은 'KBS의 공정방송을 위해 노력했고 세월호 침몰 참사와 관련해 편파적인 보도를 강요하거나 부당한 지시를 한 적이 없다'는 취지로 해임의 부당성을 강조했다.
앞서 KBS이사회는 KBS 언론노조 측이 촉발한 김시곤 전 보도국장의 폭로 사태 등 일련의 KBS 사태에 대한 정확한 진상규명을 하지도 않은 채 6월 5일 길 전 사장에 대한 해임제청안을 가결했고, 같은 달 9일 안전행정부를 통해 박 대통령에게 해임제청장을 제출한 바 있다. 그러나 박 대통령은 같은 다 10일 해임안을 재가했다.
한편 길 전 사장은 이사회의 해임제청 결의와 직무정지 처분을 취소해 달라는 소송을 서울남부지법에 제기한 상태다.
