전원책의 보수이야기 ♥제338신 나는 요사이 인간의 조건에 대해 다시 생각합니다
앙드레 말로의 소설로도, 좌파 학자 한나 아렌트의 책으로도 유명한, '인간의 조건' 말입니다. 두 책 모두 인간의 선악을 다루고 있으니 결국 내 고민은 인간은 얼마나 선한 존재인가? 아닌가? 하는 것입니다. 나는 지금 첫 번째 지식인 비판 '바다도 비에 젖는다'를 개정하는 작업을 하고 있습니다. 그 첫 꼭지가 '집'이지요. '집 안에선 집이 안 보인다'는 아포리즘입니다. 우리 모두는 자신을 볼 수 없지요. 소크라테스의 '너 자신을 알라'는 말은 '무지'를 깨우친 경구입니다. 그렇습니다. 내 자신을 모르는 죄, 카프카가 쓴 '심판'의 주인공 요제프 카는 '자신의 죄가 무엇인지 모르는' 죄로 재판을 받고 채석장에서 살해당합니다. 그는 마지막까지 이 사태가 연극이라고 믿었지요. 카가 마지막 한 말은 한 마디입니다. '개새끼들' 밤이 깊었습니다.
