임태희 ‘정면돌파’ 하여 ‘정정당당’ 승부하겠다

새누리당 대선후보 경선을 선언한 임태희 전 대통령실장은 1일 "유·불리를 계산하지 않고 새누리당 경선에 참여하겠다"고 밝혔다.
[푸른한국닷컴 서원일 기자]임 전 실장은 이날 오전 여의도 당사에서 기자회견을 열어 "더 이상 머뭇거리는 것은 수많은 선배 정치인과 당원들에 대한 도리가 아니라고 판단했다"며 이같이 말했다.
임 전 실장은 경선 룰과 관련한 갈등에 대해서는 "박근혜 전 비상대책위원장의 오만과 당 지도부의 비민주적인 결정으로 당이 불통정치의 오명을 뒤집어쓰게 되었다"고 비판했다.
이어 "제도와 편견을 정면으로 돌파해 정정당당히 승부하고 더 이상 경선 규칙에 대해서 언급하지 않겠다"고 단호한 입장을 표명했다.
그는 김문수 경기지사 등 비박계 대선주자 3인에 대해 "당의 중요한 정치적 자산인 세 분과 함께 해야 연말 대선에서 승리할 수 있다"면서 "박 전 위원장은 당을 진정으로 살리는 길에 대해 책임 있는 행보를 해달라" 촉구했다.
