 전쟁 부추기는 정신 나간 인권위

국가인권위는  28일 전원위원회를 열어 대북방송 재개 등의 내용이 담긴 권고안을 의결 안건으로 논의키로 했다.

 
통일부 등 정부 부처에 전단 살포, 확성기 방송, 전광판 운영 등을 통해 대북 방송을 재개하라는 것이 그 내용이다.

 
민주노동당은 28일 논평에서 대북 방송이 무엇인가. 대북 확성기 방송은 지난 2004년 남북장성급 회담 이후 남북 긴장 완화를 위해 중단됐던 것으로 최근 북한이 재개시 조준타격 하겠다 경고해 한반도 전쟁을 우려한 주변국 등이 만류하고 있는 대북 심리전이며 대북 전단 살포는 극보수단체에서나 사용하는 비보편적 방식이다.

 
평화와 인권을 선두에서 지켜나가야 할 인권위가 북에 대한 선전포고에 다름아닌 대북방송을 앞장서 추동하고 있으니 이명박정권에 의해 임명된 보수성향의 위원이 주도 상정한 것임을 감안하더라도 두 눈으로 보고 두 귀로 들어도 도무지 믿기 힘든 사태다.

 
인권위 목표가 한반도 전쟁인지, 이로 인해 발생 될 문제들에 대해 어떤 책임을 질 수 있는지 되묻지 않을 수 없다.

 
전원위 의결 안건은 과반 지지가 있어야 통과되며 통과시 인권위 공식 의견으로 채택된다. 단언컨대 한반도를 다시 전쟁터로 만들 수는 없다는 것이 오천만 국민의 확고한 생각이며 때문에 대북방송 결의안은 논의의 여지 없이 부결이 마땅하다.

 
인권위에 대통령의 전쟁놀음에 동조하는 파렴치함을 버리고 평화와 국민 인권 지킴이로 돌아와야 함을 이 정권에 전쟁 부추기는 대북방송 꼼수를 중단하고 평화 위한 노력에 나설 것을 강력 촉구한다.
