 기면증 유발 신종플루 백신 국내 수입 한 적 없어

보건복지부 산하 질병관리본부는 최근 세계보건기구(WHO)에서 기면증 유발 신종플루백신은 국내에 수입된 적 없다고 밝혔다.
 

보건복지부 질병관리본부 예방접종관리과는 9일 공식홈페이지에 WHO에서 발표한 기면증 유발 신종플루백신인 ‘글락소 스미스클라인(GSK)사의 펜뎀릭스(Pandemrix)’는 국내에 유통되지 않았다고 전했다.
 

이어 “2009년 이후 신종플루 예방을 위해 국내에 도입된 백신(약 2,637만 도즈)은 전량 국내 제조사(녹십자)에서 생산되어 식품의약품안정청 검정을 마친 제품으로 두통 및 발열, 전신피로 등 이상반응을 보인적은 있으나 기면증과 같은 이상증상은 신고 된 사례가 없다”고 말했다. 
 

기면증은 낮 시간에 과도하게 졸립고, 잠이 들 때(입면, hypnagogic)나 깰 때(각성) 환각, 수면 마비, 수면 발작 등의 증상을 보이는 신경정신과 질환으로 북유럽 국가에서 많이 발생하는 것으로 알려졌다.
