 APEC 자유무역지대 구축 지지

아시아태평양 경제협력체 APEC 정상회의가 14일 폐막됐다.

 
21개 회원국들은 일본 요코하마에서 이틀 일정으로 열린 이번 회의를 마치며 선언문인‘요코하마 선언을 채택했다. 회원국들은 이 선언을 통해 역내 자유무역지대를 구축하기 위한 방안을 마련할 것이라고 미국 소리 방송이 보도 했다.

 
아시아태평양 지역 자유무역지대는 미국과 중국, 일본 경제를 전세계에서 가장 빠르게 성장하고 있는 일부 역내 국가 경제들과 연결했다.

 
요코하마 선언은 또 회원국들이 경제 통합을 강화하고 지속 가능한 성장에 초점을 맞춰야 할 것이라고 밝혔다.

 
지난 1989년 호주 캔버라에서 출범한 아시아태평양경제협력체 APEC에는 한국과 미국, 일본, 중국, 러시아 등 21개 국가가 참여하고 있다.
