“이란 이라크 과격단체에 자금 제공해 혼란 부채질”
이라크 주둔 美軍사령관 밝혀, 22일 이라크 전투병력 철수 후 첫 미군 사망자 발생

이라크 주둔 미군사령관은 이란이 이라크내 시아파 과격단체를 위해 자금과 훈련을 제공함으로써 이라크내 불안정을 부채질하고 있다고 비판했다.
미국의 소리 방송(VOA)은 "레이 오디에르노 사령관은 22일 미국 CNN 방송에 출연해 이란은 이라크가 강력한 민주국가가 되는 걸 원치않는다고 지적했다"고 보도했다.
22일 VOA의 보도에 따르면, 미군 당국은 이라크 남부 바스라 지역에서 22일 미군 병사 1명이 사망, 이는 지난 19일 이라크 주둔 마지막 미군 전투 병력이 철수한 이후 첫 미군 병사의 사망으로 기록되고 있다.
그러런 가운데 규모가 적은 미군 전투부대는 현재 계속 이라크에 남아있지만 이달 말까지 모두 철수될 예정이다. 나머지 5만명 가량의 미군 병력은 안정군으로서 오는 2011년 말까지 이라크에 계속 주둔하게 된다.
