 리비아 외교관 추방은 北 때문
 추방 직전 北 고위인사와 협의

리비아 정부가 ‘간첩혐의’로 국가정보원 소속 외교관을 추방하기 직전인 지난 6월 초 당시, 북한 외무성 고위인사와 협의를 가졌던 것으로 뒤늦게 알려졌다.

 
특히 이 무렵은 천안함 사태로 유엔 안전보장이사회 등에서 대북 제재 방안을 논의 중인 시점이었다.

 
29일 외교소식통을 인용한 언론보도에 따르면, 북한 외무성 중동·아프리카 담당인 김형준 부상은 지난달 8일 리비아 수도 트리폴리에서 리비아 총인민회의 외교부 아시아 담당 차관을 만나 양자관계 발전과 제16차 북·리비아 공동위원회 구성 문제를 논의했다.

 
리비아가 북한과의 협의 직후 우리 외교관의 정보 수집 활동에 간첩혐의를 적용, 추방했다는 점에서 주목할만한 일이라고 할 수 있다.

 
한편 국정원은 추방된 외교관이 수집하던 정보는 리비아가 문제삼은 것처럼 카다피 및 그의 아들과 관련된 것이 아니라, 북한과 관련된 정보였다고 밝혔다.
