 검찰 내일 한명숙 전 총리 소환 통보
 동생·최측근도 출석 요구…불응땐 불구속 기소 검토 중

검찰이 불법정치자금 수수 의혹을 받고 있는 한명숙 전 국무총리와 그의 최측근들에게 내일(25일) 동시에 소환을 통보했다. 

  
하지만 한 전 총리 측은 금품수수 사실을 전면 부인하고 있는데다 별건수사라며, 반발하고 있어 검찰 소환에 불응할 것으로 보인다. 검찰은 한 전 총리가 출석 요구에 응하지 않을 경우, 불구속 기소하는 방안에 무게를 두고 향후 처리 방안을 검토 중인 것으로 전해졌다.

  
이 사건을 수사 중인 서울중앙지검 특수1부(부장검사 김기동)는 한 전 총리와 한 전 총리의 동생, 최측근인 김모 씨에게 25일 출석할 것을 요구했다고 24일 밝혔다.

  
현재 검찰은 한 전 총리가 지난 2007년 6∼10월 경기도 고양의 건설시행사인 H사 대표 한모(49·구속수감) 씨에게 3차례에 걸쳐 현금과 달러 등 9억원을 받은 것으로 보고 있다. 검찰은 한 전 총리가 이 돈을 총리직에서 퇴임한 뒤인 같은 해 3월 이후 민주당 고양일산갑 지구당 사무실 운영 경비와 대선후보 경선자금 등으로 쓴 것으로 파악하고 있다.

  
또 한 씨가 건넨 1억원 상당의 수표를 한 전 총리의 동생이 전세자금으로 사용한 정황도 포착하고 한 전 총리의 수행비서격인 김 씨가 돈이 오가는 과정에 깊숙이 개입한 것으로 보고 있다.

  
이와 관련, 김 씨는 한 씨로부터 경선자금 용도로 3억원을 받았다 2억원은 돌려주고 1억원은 보관 중이며 한 전 총리는 돈을 빌린 사실을 전혀 알지 못했다고 주장하고 있는 것으로 전해졌다. 

  
한편 그동안 검찰은 6·2지방선거에 미칠 영향을 우려해 지난 4월 21일 한 전 총리에 대한 수사를 잠정중단한 뒤, 두 달여 동안 관련자의 계좌추적 등 물밑수사를 진행해왔다.
