 주한미군철수운동본부 압수수색
 ‘우린 정당한 시민단체라니까’ 발끈

천안함 전사장병들을 ‘영웅’으로 호칭하는 것에 반발하는 성명을 냈다가, 시민단체 으로부터 고발당한 주한미군철수운동본부(약칭 주미철본)가 검찰의 압수수색을 받았다.
 

주미철본은 22일『주미철본 서버 압수 수색을 강력히 규탄 한다!』는 제목의 성명을 통해, 검찰이 이날 오전 주미철본 홈페이지 서버를 담당했던 회사에 대해 압수수색을 실시했다고 밝혔다.
 

이들은 “압수 수색을 벌인 직접적인 이유는 모 반북단체에서 국가보안법을 위반했다며 우리 단체에 대한 고발장을 낸 것과 관련이 있는 것으로 확인되었다”며 “말 같지도 않은 이유로 고발장을 내자 기다렸다는 듯이 곧바로 수사에 착수하고 압수 수색하는 것이 검찰이 하는 일인가”라고 발끈했다.
 

아울러 “법원은 또 무슨 근거로 압수수색 영장을 발부 했는지 따져 묻지 않을 수 없다”며, “향후 예상되는 탄압을 철저히 분쇄하고 그 주동자들에게 반드시 그 대가를 치르게 해 줄 것”이라고 으름장을 놓았다.
 

또 “그동안 우리 단체가 미군철수를 줄기차게 주장하고 천안함 조작 사건을 규탄하는 등 이명박 정권의 사기 놀음에 강력히 대응한 것에 따른 탄압”이라며 “정당한 시민단체 활동을 유린하는 반헌법적인 사건”이라고도 했다.
