 “업무폭탄·○○난리 버겁고 놓고 싶다”…서이초 교사 일기 일부 공개

서울 서초구 서이초등학교에서 극단적 선택을 한 교사의 일기 일부가 24일 공개됐다. 숨진 교사는 업무 
부담과 학생 생활지도에 대한 어려움을 겪은 것으로 보인다.

서울교사노동조합은 24일 “유족의 동의를 받아 고인의 일기장 중 내용 일부를 공개한다”고 밝혔다. 노
조가 공개한 노트 사진을 보면 고인이 숨지기 약 2주일 전인 이달 3일에 쓰여진 것으로 추정되는 일기
가 적혀 있다.

고인은 일기에 “금-주말을 지나면서 무기력 처짐은 있었지만 그래도 힘들다고 느껴질 정도까지는 아니
었는데 월요일 출근 후 업무 폭탄 + ○○ 난리가 겹치면서 그냥 모든 게 다 버거워지고 놓고 싶다는 생
각이 마구 들었다”고 적었다. 이어 “숨이 막혔다. 밥을 먹는데 손이 떨리고 눈물이 흐를 뻔했다”라고도 
했다.

‘난리’ 앞에 쓰인 글자는 학생의 이름으로 보인다고 노조 측은 설명했다. 서울교사노조는 “고인이 생전 
업무와 학생 문제 등 학교생활로 어려움을 겪었다는 점을 확인할 수 있다”며 “노조가 제보를 통해 학생 
중 (한 명이) 큰 소리를 지르는 등의 행동을 해 고인이 힘들어했다는 정황을 밝힌 것과 일맥상통한다”고 
강조했다.

노조는 “전국 교사들의 목소리에 교육당국이 응답하기를 바란다”며 “무고성 아동학대 신고로부터 교사
를 보호하고 무분별한 민원으로부터 교사를 보호할 대책을 신속하게 강구하라”고 촉구했다.

지난 18일 서이초교 1학년 담임인 A 교사가 숨진 채 발견됐다.
