윤석열 대통령은 17일 취임 100일을 맞아 용산 대통령실 브리핑룸에서 연 첫 기자회견 모두 발언에서 “우
리의 주권 사항에 대해서는 더이상 타협의 대상이 아니다”며 “서해 공무원 피살 사건, 북한 어민 강제 북
송 사건에 대해 진상을 규명하고 희생자들의 명예 회복을 위해 최선을 다하고 있다”고 밝혔다. 이어 “앞
으로도 정부는 자유, 인권, 법치라는 보편적 가치를 확고하게 지켜나갈 것”이라고 덧붙였다.

검찰은 2020년 9월 해양수산부 직원이었던 이대준씨가 북한 해역에서 피살됐을 당시 청와대와 정부 부처
들이 사건 무마를 위해 ‘월북 몰이’를 했다는 의혹과, 2019년 11월 동료 선원을 살해한 것으로 추정되는 
탈북 어민 2명을 제대로 조사하지 않고 북한에 강제로 돌려보낸 사건을 다시 들여다보고 있다. 이날 윤 대
통령의 발언은 야당의 반발에도 불구하고 수사를 계속 밀어붙이겠다는 의도로 해석된다.


윤 대통령은 저조한 국정 운영 지지율에 대한 논란을 의식한 듯 “국정 운영을 하는데 있어서 가장 중요한 
것은 첫째도 국민의 뜻이고 둘째도 국민의 뜻”이라며 “국민의 숨소리 하나 놓치지 않고 한치도 국민의 뜻
에 벗어나지 않도록 살피겠다. 저부터 분골쇄신하겠다”고 다짐했다.
