단독 이재수 전 사령관이 월간조선에 하려했던 이야기
기자 만나기로 한 하루 전 극단적 선택...이후 측근이 전해준 A4용지 1장

검찰 세월호참사특별수사단(특수단)은 이재수 전 기무사령관을 죽음으로 몰고 갔던 ‘기무사의 유가족 불
법 사찰’ 의혹을 무혐의로 종결냈다.
사실 기자는 영장심사 결과 구속영장이 기각된 이 전 사령관을 그의 절친을 통해 만나기로 돼 있었다. 하
지만 만나기로 한 날(2018년 12월 8일) 하루 전 극단적인 선택을 했다.
이 소식을 식당에서 접하고, 큰 충격을 받은 기억이 아직도 생생하다. 이후 만난 그의 절친은 기자에게
A4 용지 1장을 건넸는데, 여기엔 이 전 사령관이 기자를 만나 하려고 한 이야기 내용이 정리 돼 있었다.
당시 세월호 유가족, 군 특별조사단, 검찰이 ‘세월호 민간인 사찰 의혹’ 의 근거로 내세원 세월호 침몰사
고 백서에 대한 내용이 주였다.
그 내용을 그대로 소개한다.
