북미정상회담 개최사실 첫 공식보도…비핵화 논의의지 시사 

북한 노동당 기관지 노동신문은 10일 김정은 북한 국무위원장이 마이크 폼페이오 미국 국무장관을 접
견했다고 1면에 대대적으로 보도했다.

노동신문은 “마이크 폼페오 국무장관은 김정은 동지께 도날드 트럼프 미합중국 대통령의 구두메쎄지를 
정중히 전달해드리였다”며 “최고령도자 동지께서는 트럼프 대통령의 구두메쎄지를 들으시고 대통령이 
대화를 통한 문제해결에 깊은 관심을 가지고 있는데 대하여 높이 평가하시고 사의를 표하시였다”고 밝
혔다.

신문은 이어 “경애하는 최고령도자동지께서는 미합중국 국무장관과 토의된 문제들에 대하여 만족한 합
의를 보시였다”며 “폼페오 국무장관은 조미수뇌상봉(북미정상회담)이 성과적으로 진행되도록 적극 노
력할 결심과 의지를 피력했다”고 전했다. 

북한의 국영 매체가 북미정상회담에 대한 김정은 위원장의 발언을 보도한 것은 이번이 처음이다. 북한
이 비핵화 논의에 진지하게 임할 용의가 있음을 시사 한 것으로 풀이된다.[데일리안 = 이배운 기자]
