트럼프 대통령이 국빈방문한다.
[서원일 기자=푸른한국닷컴] 17일 청와대 박수현 대변인은 트럼프 미국 대통령 내외의가 다음달 7일
부터 8일까지 1박2일간 국빈방문 한다고 발표했다.
박수현 대변인은 "미측 발표에도 포함됐지만 트럼프 대통령은 우리 국회 연설도 추진 중"이라며 "이는
트럼프 대통령이 한중일 3국 중 주요 정책 연설을 하는 유일한 기회가 될 것으로 보인다"고 의미를 부여
했다.
그는 "미국은 당초 트럼프 대통령의 최초 방한에 대해 2박3일의 일정을 추진코자 했지만, 양국이 의전
문제 등을 종합 감안해 11월 7일 도착하는 데 합의했다"고 했다.
청와대 관계자는 "우리나라는 완전한 하루가 나오고, 일본은 2박3일이지만 주말이 있어 실질적으로 우
리나라 체류시간과 비슷하다"며 일정 축소에 따른 한국 홀대론을 일축했다.
문 대통령은 8일부터 15일까지 7박8일 일정으로 인도네시아 대통령과의 정상회담, APEC 정상회의, 동
남아시아국가연합(ASEAN)+3 정상회의 등에 참석하기 위해 출국한다.
