 미국인이 가장 좋아하지 않는 나라는 북한
 

갤럽 여론조사. 좋아하는 나라는 캐나다 영국 일본 順. 이란은 비호감도에서 86%로 북한과 동률.

  북한이 미국인들에게 호감도가 가장 낮은 나라로 조사됐습니다. 여론조사 전문회사인 미국 갤럽의 조
사 결과인데요. 미국인들이 가장 좋게 생각하는 나라는 캐나다였습니다. 김정우 기자가 보도합니다.
  
  갤럽이 21개 나라에 대한 미국인들의 선호도를 조사한 결과 북한이 최하위를 차지했습니다. 이달 초 
미 전역에서 18세 이상 미국인 1035명을 대상으로 실시한 갤럽의 조사 결과 북한은 선호도는 11%에 
그친 반면, 좋아하지 않는다는 비율은 86%에 달했습니다.
  
  조사대상국 가운데 선호도가 가장 높은 나라는 캐나다로 선호도 92%를 기록했습니다. 이어 영국이 
91%로 2위, 일본이 85%로 3위, 그리고 프랑스와 독일이 뒤를 이었습니다.
  
  북한은 이라크, 아프가니스탄, 시리아, 이란과 함께 미국인들의 선호도가 가장 떨어지는 국가군에 포
함됐습니다. 이들 5개 나라에 대한 호감도는 평균 20%가 안 되고 비호감도는 70%가 넘습니다. 특히 
이란은 비호감도에서 86%로 북한과 동률을 기록했습니다.
  
  북한에 대한 미국인들의 선호도는 지난 2000년과 2002년 사이 좋아지기도 했습니다. 하지만 2002년 
당시 조지 W. 부시 대통령이 북한을 '악의 축'으로 지목하며 한반도 상황이 악화한 것을 반영한 듯 
2003년 이후 지금까지 거의 최하위에 머물고 있습니다.
  
  바락 오바마 행정부 시절 미국과 관계가 나빠진 러시아는 사우디아라비아와 팔레스타인 자치정부와 
함께 선호도가 떨어지는 나라에 속했습니다.
  
  한편 미국인들은 중국에 대해서는 복합적인 감정을 나타냈습니다. 중국은 쿠바, 이집트와 함께 선호
도가 50% 수준, 비선호도는 40%대인 국가군에 들어갔습니다. 인도와 타이완 이스라엘 등은 미국인들
이 비교적 선호하는 부류에 포함됐습니다. 
  
  갤럽은 이번 여론조사 결과가 조사대상국과 미국 사이의 외교관계뿐만 아니라 문화적 관계도 반영한
다고 설명했습니다.
