박지원 국민의당 대표와 손학규 국민개혁주권연대 의장이 26일 비공개 회동을 가졌다. 본격적으로 대선 행보 중엔 반기문 전 유엔 사무총장이 '대선 전 개헌'을 내세우며 제3지대에서 반문연대하자는 입장을 밝힌 상황에서 두 사람의 만남이라 관심이 집중된다.
'뉴시스'에 따르면 박 대표와 손 의장은 이날 저녁 서울 모처에서 비공개 회동을 갖고 국민의당과 국민주권회의의 통합, 대권 행보 중인 반기문 전 유엔 사무총장에 대한 의견을 나눈 것으로 알려졌다.
그러나 이날 만남에 대해 박 대표는 "연대와 연합까지는 아니고 앞으로 함께하자는 긍정적인 이야기를 나눴다"며 "빠른 시일내에 다시 만나기로 했다"고 밝혔다.
한편 손 의장은 설 연휴 기간 중 반 전 총장과 회동할 예정으로 알려져 개헌을 고리로 하는 제3세력 연대가 가시화 되는 것 아니냐는 전망이 나오고 있다.[데일리안 = 스팟뉴스팀]
