 기능올림픽서 금메달 딴 高卒인력… 삼성전자 파격적으로 보상하기로br입사 3년 후 대졸자와 같은 연봉·처우… 상금도 2배로

삼성전자가 올해부터 기능올림픽에서 메달을 딴 사내 고졸 기능 인력에게 파격적인 보상을 하기로 했다. 학력보다 능력을 중시하는 문화를 확립하자는 취지다.

삼성전자 이상훈 경영지원실 사장은 지난 26일 수원 디지털 시티에서 42회 국제기능올림픽 수상자(금메달 6명, 은메달 2명)들과 저녁을 하면서 "올해부터 기능올림픽 금메달 수상자에 대해선 패스트 트랙(Fast Track) 제도를 도입하겠다"고 말했다.

이 제도는 고졸인 기능올림픽 금메달 수상자에 대해 입사 3년 후 대졸 입사자와 같은 연봉과 처우를 해주는 것이다. 기능올림픽은 만 23세 이하까지 나갈 수 있다. 우리나라는 이달 초 독일 라이프치히에서 열린 기능올림픽에서 종합우승(금 12개, 은 5개, 동 6개), 4연패를 차지했다.

삼성전자는 기능올림픽 수상자에게 주는 상금도 2배로 올려, 올해부터 금메달 수상자에 대해선 2000만원을 주기로 했다. 은메달과 동메달 수상자에겐 각각 1000만원, 600만원을 준다. 또 메달 수상자를 배출한 고등학교에는 최대 2000만원 상당의 전자제품과 실습 기자재를 지원하기로 했다.

삼성전자는 최근 적극적으로 고졸 기능 인력을 채용하고 있다. 올해 처음으로 산업 수요 맞춤형 고등학교인 마이스터고 학생 100여명을 특별채용했다. 또 작년 처음 시작한 고졸 공채를 통해 올해에도 300명을 채용했다.
