전력수급 경보 관심 발령…올 겨울들어 네번째

추위에 전력사용이 급증하면서 올 겨울들어 네번째 전력 경보가 발령됐다.
전력거래소는 12일 오전 8시51분 예비전력이 순간적으로 350만㎾ 미만으로 하락해 전력수급 경보 ‘관심’을 발령했다고 밝혔다.
전력경보 관심은 예비전력이 400만㎾ 이하로 떨어질 때 발령된다.
전력거래소는 이날 최대전력수요가 7520만㎾에 달하고 예비전력이 291만㎾까지 하락할 것으로 예상했다.
이에 따라 전력당국은 수요관리(200만㎾), 구역전기사업자 공급확대(50만㎾), 수요자원시장 운영(50만㎾) 등을 실시해 예비전력을 추가로 확보하고 있다.
전력거래소 관계자는 전날에 비해 날씨가 풀렸지만 전력 사용량은 줄어들지 않고 있는 상황”이라며 오후에도 전력수급에 어려움이 예상되는 만큼 전열기 사용 등을 자제해 달라”고 당부했다.
