 아프리카 39개국 경제장관들 서울에 모인다

기획재정부는 아프리카개발은행(AfDB) 및 한국수출입은행과 공동으로 오는 15-18일 서울 신라호텔에서 2012 한·아프리카 장관급 경제협력회의(KOAFEC)’를 개최한다.

 
올해로 4회째를 맞는 이번 회의에는 아프리카 39개국의 장·차관 41명과 카베루카 AfDB 총재 등 국제기구 수장이 참석한다. 

 
오는 16일 장관급 회의에선 ‘포용적 성장’을 주제로 한국개발연구원(KDI)과 AfDB가 공동으로 연구한 결과를 발표하고 토론한다.

 
이 회의 결과로 정부와 아프리카 국가들은 경제협력 의지를 담은 2012 KOAFEC공동선언문’을 채택하고, 앞으로 2년간 협력방안을 구체화한 ‘액션플랜20131월4일 발표한다.

 
오는 16-17일 열리는 경제협력 세미나에선 국내 기업과 아프리카 대표단 간 1:1 비즈니스 미팅을 통한 실질적인 경제협력의 기회가 마련된다.

 
앞서 15일 환영만찬에는 김용 세계은행 총재가 참석하고, 한국과 아프리카의 우호협력의 상징으로 고(故) 이태석 신부가 남수단에서 만든 청소년 브라스밴드가 공연을 펼친다. 

 
한편, 올해 오는 15-18일은 범정부적 차원에서 한·아프리카 협력주간’으로 지정돼 지식경제부의 한·아프리카 산업협력포럼’(15일)과 외교통상부의 ‘한·아프리카 포럼(17일) 등 아프리카 관련 회의가 연이어 열린다.

 
재정부는 170여명의 아프리카 대표단이 참석하는 이번 행사는 국내에서 열린 아프리카 관련 회의 중 역대 최대 규모”라고 밝혔다.
