 윤석금 회장 “무리한 확장 탓국민께 죄송”
 5일 기업회생절차 신청 및 대표 사퇴 이어 기자회견 열고 사죄

[브레이크뉴스=유채리 기자] 윤석금 웅진그룹 회장이 최근 기업회생절차 신청과 웅진홀딩스 대표직 사퇴 결정을 내린데 이어 기자회견을 열고 사죄의 뜻을 밝혔다.
 
윤 회장은 5일 오후 서울 충무로 극동빌딩 11층에서 웅진홀딩스와 극동건설의 전격 법정관리 신청 등을 둘러싼 각종 비판에 대해 입을 열었다.
 
윤 회장은 법정관리 신청과 관련해 ”국민 여러분께 죄송하다. 채권단과 임직원에게 뭐라 할 말이 없다“고 말했다.
 
이어 ”건설과 태양광에 무리하게 투자했다“며 ”진즉에 포기했으면 이렇게까지는 안 됐을 텐데 끝까지 책임져야 한다는 생각 때문에 기업회생 절차까지 가게 됐다“고 해명했다. 
 
이와 함께, 자신을 둘러싼 도덕적 해이 논란에 대해 ”친인척 특혜, 불법 회계, 불공정한 인사 등 사회적으로 비난받을 일을 한 적이 없었다“며 ”현재 개인 재산은 서울저축은행에 출자한 것과 웅진플레이도시에 대여한 것을 빼면 거의 없다“고 설명했다.
 
이 밖에도 채권단의 웅진코웨이 조기 매각 움직임에 대해서는 ”지금은 결정권이 없어 채권단과 법원의 결정에 따를 것“이라고 덧붙였다.
