 전여옥 “‘공정한 공천’만이 한나라당 살 길”
 내년 6월 지방선거와 관련해 비관적인 입장 밝혀

한나라당 전략기획본부장을 맡고 있는 전여옥 의원이 내년 6월 지방선거와 관련해 ‘공정한 공천’의 중요성을 강조했다. 

  
전 의원은 26일 자신의 홈페이지에 올린 ‘깨끗한 공천만이 살 길’이라는 제목의 글에서 “국민들은 정치가 일단 맑아지길 원하고 그 길은 ‘공정한 공천’”이라며 “오로지 이 나라를 위해 사심없이 일할 인재가 그 기준이 되는 공천만이 한나라당이 살 길이기도 하다”고 밝혔다. 

  
그는 유권자들의 강한 견제 심리로 내년 선거를 어려운 선거가 될 것이라고 예상한 뒤, “4년을 조심스럽게 보냈어야 했는데 성남시청의 호화청사부터 심심치않게 미디어에 오르내리는 한나라당 소속의 지자체장의 비리를 보면 속이 상하다 못해 분노가 치민다”고 질타했다. 

  
이어 “제 지역에서만큼 깨끗하고 투명한 공천을 하겠다는 확실한 공천의 기준을 밝혔다”면서 “사과 한알이라고 갖고 와 ‘공천 운운’하면 무조건 배제하겠다”고 공언했다. 

  
특히 “한국 정치의 고질병은 의리니 충성이니 하는 ‘떼와 무리’를 짓는 전근대적 사고 때문”이라며, “오로지 충성심은 이 국가와 국민에게만 있으면 되고, 저 역시 당과 제 지역구와 이 나라 국민에게 충성심이 있지 한 개인에 대한 충성심은 없다”고 말했다. 

  
한편 전 의원은 이 글에서 “구의원 공천은 굳이 (정당)공천을 할 필요가 있나 싶다”며, 기초의원 정당공천제에 대한 부정적인 입장도 함께 덧붙였다.
