 스마트폰 소비자불만 지난해보다 폭발적으로 증가

 한국소비자원, 소비자피해 다발사업자 공개

스마트폰 확산 등의 영향으로 휴대폰 단말기 관련 소비자피해가 지난해에 비해 크게 급증한 것으로 나타났다. 

 
올해 1월부터 9월까지 한국소비자원(원장 김영신)에 접수된 스마트폰을 포함한 휴대폰 관련 소비자 피해구제 건수는 910건으로, 전년 동기 대비 약 158.5%(558건) 증가했다고8일 밝혔다.

 
이중, 스마트폰 관련 제조사별 피해구제 접수건수(752건)를 100만명당 판매대수로 환산한 결과, HTC KOREA가 216.7건으로 가장 많았고, 다음으로 모토로라 코리아 160.4건, 팬택계열 68.8건의 순이다. 

 
피해구제 접수 후 소비자원의 합의권고로 처리된 피해구제율은 삼성전자가 71.2%로 가장 높았고, LG전자 63.2%, 팬택계열 61.7% 순으로 집계됐다. 

 
피해유형별로는 음성 및 데이터 사용 중 끊김 현상 등 ‘통화품질 불량’이 전체의 30.1%(226건)로 가장 많았다. 다음으로 버튼 작동이나 화면이 멈춰 사용이 불가한 ‘작동멈춤’ 현상이 17.8%(134건), 그 외 ‘업무처리 불만’ 16.1%(121건), ‘전원 꺼짐’ 14.8%(111건) 등으로 분석 됐다. 

 
한국소비자원은 제조사에서 단말기 수리 후 의무적인 수리내역서 교부 제조사에서 동일하자 발생하는 휴대폰의 모니터링 강화 수리기간이 일정기간 경과할 경우 사용하지 못한 요금제에 대한 보상 제도 마련 등 제도개선 방안을 제시했다. 

 
소비자에게도 가입시 계약서에 휴대폰 구입가격을 명확히 기재하며, 중요한 자료는 백업을 생활화하는 등 평소 사용상 세심한 주의를 기울일 것을 당부했다.
