 스티브 잡스 타계 후 관련 서적 불티

세계 IT 역사에 큰 ‘혁신’을 남긴 것으로 기록될 애플의 스티브 잡스의 타계 소식이 국내에 전해져 많은 사람들의 관심과 안타까움이 더해지고 있다. 이러한 관심은 스티브잡스 관련 서적의 판매량 증가로 이어졌다. 

 
인터넷 서점 알라딘은 스티브 잡스 관련 도서 판매량을 분석한 결과 사망 소식이 전해진 오전 8시 반 이후 5시간 만에 해당 도서들의 판매량이 평소 일 평균 판매량의 5배 가량 증가했다고 밝혔다. 


이는 당일 오후 2시까지의 판매량만을 기준으로 한 것으로 하루를 기준으로 추산할 경우는 10배 이상 증가할 것으로 추정된다. 한편 스티브잡스 자서전에 대한 관심 역시 뜨겁다. 오는 25일 세계 동시 출간 예정인 스티브잡스의 자서전은 현재 예약 판매 중이다. 


알라딘 김성동 팀장은 “스티브 잡스로 인해 전세계 사람들이 열정과 혁신에 대해 다시 한 번 생각할 수 있었던 만큼 그의 삶과, 혁신, 열정이 담긴 도서들에 대한 관심 역시 증가한 것으로 보인다”며 “이 열기는 당분간 사그라들지 않을 것으로 보인다”고 밝혔다.
