 “강기갑 의원 국회 제기능 방해 요인”
 대학생포럼, 한·EU FTA 비준동의안 부결 주요원인으로 강기갑 지목

한국대학생포럼은 19일 국회 외교통상통일위원회 법안심사소위에서 한·EU FTA 비준동의안이 부결된 것과 관련, “한·EU FTA가 가져다주는 경제적 효과를 무시하는 것은 국민의 민생을 외면하는 처사”라고 비판했다. 

  
이들은 이날 영상논평을 통해 “홍정욱 위원의 기권 선언으로 심사소위 통과에 필요한 4표 중 한 표가 모자라게 된 것이 주요 원인”이라면서도 “(외통위)소속 의원이 아니면서 의사 진행을 반대하고, 툭하면 폭력을 일삼는 강기갑 의원이야 말로 국회의 제기능을 방해하는 주된 요인”이라고 지적했다. 

  
이런 가운데 “홍정욱 의원은 소속 정당과의 협의 없이 돌발적인 행위를 했고, 사실상 국회가 해야 할 일을 하지 못하는 직무유기의 결과”라는 것. 아울러 “국회는 합의와 타협을 바탕으로 한 기구”라고 전제한 뒤 “합의와 타협에 임하는 것, 그 자체를 반대하고 저지하는 것이 과연 국회의원으로서의 역할에 충실한 것인지는 의문”이라고 꼬집었다. 

  
그러면서 논평은 “한·EU FTA가 가져다주는 경제적 효과를 무시하는 것은 국민의 민생을 외면하는 처사”라며 “한나라당 역시 정당 내 협의를 거치지 않은 채 심사에 임했다는 점은 여당으로서의 책임감이 현저히 부족하다는 사실을 보여주고 있다”고 강조했다.
