 일본의 한 해안도시 전체가 불바다
 야간폭격을 당한 도시의 모습을 연상시킨다.

 지진과 쓰나미가 강타한 일본 東北지방의 氣仙沼市(케센누마시) 전체가 현재 화염에 휘싸였다. 일본 자위대 비행기가 항공촬영한 영상을 보면 이 해안도시는 가스관이 터졌는지 불바다가 되어 맹렬한 속도로 타고 있다. 남북 4.5km, 동서 2.5km의 지역이다. 인구 약7만 명의 이 도시는 쓰나미의 공격을 받은 직후 화재가 발생하였다. 야간폭격을 당한 도시의 모습을 연상시킨다. 불을 끄려는 사람들도 보이지 않는다. 지진이 나면 화재가 발생하는 이유는 가스 漏出(누출), 휘발유 流出, 漏電(누전) 등이다. 고도 산업사회가 자연의 공격으로 無力化되고 있다.
