유엔인권위 대북인권결의안 채택
北 “주권에 정면으로 대결” 발끈

북한의 인권상황을 비판하는 대북인권결의안이 18일(현지시간) 유엔 인권위원회에서 채택돼 관심이 집중되고 있다.
유엔 인권위원회는 이날 고문 및 비인간적인 구금상태 등 북한의 인권유린을 비난하고 개선을 촉구하는 내용의 대북인권결의안을 표결에 부쳐 찬성 103, 반대 18, 기권 60표로 통과시켰다.
내용은 북한의 공개처형, 정치 및 종교적 이유로 인한 사형, 표현의 자유 제한, 망명 신청자 및 난민 박해 등에 대한 지적이다.
반대표를 던진 나라는 중국과 인도네시아, 말레이시아 등이다. 이번 결의안에 공동제안국으로 참여한 한국정부는 당연히 찬성표를 던졌다.
유엔인권위는 올해 북한당국이 식량을 제대로 배분하지 않으면서 곡물 재배 및 식량 거래마저 금지, 자연재해를 당한 북한 주민들의 인도주의적 상황이 “심각하게 걱정된다”고 밝혔다.
물론 북한은 반발하고 있다. 신선호 유엔주재 북한대사는 이번 결정에 대해 “(북한의 주권에) 정면으로 대결하는 행위”라고 발끈했다.
