활기 띠는 공안수사
친북단체 산하기관 활동가 압수수색

현직 육군소장이 간첩 혐의로 검거되는 등 모처럼 공안수사가 활기를 띠고 있는 가운데, 당국이 친북단체 남북공동선언실천연대 산하기관인 한국민권연구소(소장 김승교)에서 활동하던 대학생의 집을 압수수색한 것으로 알려졌다.
보안수사대는 지난 3일 한국민권연구소 활동가 김진일(방송통신대 재학중) 씨의 집을 압수수색 했다. 혐의는 국가보안법 위반.
김 씨가 활동하던 한국민권연구소는 국가보안법 사범 단골 변호사로 잘 알려진 김승교(남북공동선언실천연대 공동대표. 민족문제연구소 법률고문) 변호사가 운영하는 곳이다.
국가보안법 사범을 변호해오던 김 변호사 역시 북한주장에 동조하는 이적문건을 작성해 전파한 혐의 등으로 기소(국가보안법 위반. 불구속), 1심에서 유죄판결(징역 2년에 집행유예 4년. 자격정지 2년. 보호관찰명령)을 받았으며 지난 달 25일 이에 대한 항소심 공판이 열렸던 것으로 전해졌다.
한편 7일 오전 현재, 한국민권연구소 홈페이지(http://www.615.re.kr/)는 열리지 않고 있다.
