포항제철소 오는 13일에 모두 정상 가동
추석 연휴에도 일 평균 8000여명이 복구 작업

포스코의 포항제철소가 이르면 내일(9월13일) 모두 정상 가동될 예정이다. 태풍 힌남노로 가동이 중단
된 지 8일 만이다.
포항제철소는 태풍 피해로 가동이 중단된지 닷새 만인 10일에 포항 3고로가 정상 가동을 시작했고, 2
제강 전로와 3제강 1전로가 11일에 재가동을 시작했다. 4고로(12일), 2고로(13일)도 곧 정상 가동에 돌
입할 예정이다.
이를 위해 추석 연휴 기간에도 포항제철 임직원을 물론, 광양제철소, 그룹사 임직원, 협력사, 관계기관
등 하루 평균 8000여명의 인원이 제철소에 집결해 복구 작업을 벌였다. 경북도 등 지자체, 소방청, 도
로공사, 조선사, 해병대 등에서도 대용량 방사포, 소방펌프, 살수차, 양수기 등 중장비와 인력 지원을
통해 힘을 보탰다.
냉천 범람의 가장 큰 피해를 본 압연라인(철을 가공하는 작업)의 경우, 대부분의 지하시설물이 침수돼
여전히 배수 및 진흙 제거 작업이 진행중이며, 지하시설물 복구가 마무리돼야 정확한 피해규모 추산
및 압연라인 복구, 가동 계획이 수립가능할 것으로 보인다.
