 탈북어민 강제북송 동영상 있다… 통일부 확인 처참함 그대로 공개될 듯
 17일 통일부 "당시 현장에 있던 직원 1명이 개인적으로 북송 과정 휴대폰 촬영" 움직임뿐 아니라 육성까지 공개될 경우 지금까지와 전혀 다른 파문 불보듯 뻔해

탈북어민 강제북송을 둘러싸고 검찰이 수사에 착수한 가운데, 탈북어민들이 판문점 군사분계선을 넘어
가던 장면을 촬영한 동영상을 정부당국이 보관하고 있는 것으로 확인됐다. 동영상이 공개될 경우 처참
했던 당시 상황이 생생하게 노출되면서 파문이 지금보다 훨씬 커질 전망이다.

통일부는 17일 배포한 입장자료를 통해 2019년 11월 판문점을 통해 이뤄진 '탈북어민 강제 북송' 당시
의 영상이 존재한다는 사실을 확인했다고 밝혔다.

통일부는 "당시 현장에 있던 직원들을 대상으로 개인적으로 촬영한 영상이 있는지에 대해 확인한 결과 
당시 현장에 있던 직원 1명이 개인적으로 북송 과정을 휴대폰으로 촬영하였음을 확인했다"고 설명했다.

통일부는 다만 "해당 영상은 개인이 촬영한 자료로서 통일부가 공식 관리하고 있는 자료가 아닌 만큼, 
현재 국회 등에 해당 영상을 제출할 수 있는지 여부 등에 대해 법률적인 검토를 진행 중에 있다"고 부연
했다.

지난 12일 통일부가 공개한 북송 사진에는, 미군 군복을 입고 있는 한 남성과 사복을 입고 있는 또 다른 
남성이 휴대폰으로 영상을 촬영하고 있는 듯한 모습이 포착된 바 있다. 

이에 국민의힘은 16일 "통일부, 유엔사, 국정원 등에 영상이 있는 것으로 추정된다"며 "다양한 루트를 
통해 영상을 확보하려 한다"고 예고하기도 했다. 하루 뒤인 17일 통일부가 그와 같은 동영상의 존재를 
확인한 것이다.
