일본 IAEA에 북한 핵사찰 비용 35억원 지원 제안 방침

일본 정부는 국제원자력기구(IAEA)가 비핵화를 위해 북한을 핵 사찰하는 비용으로 3억5000만엔(약 35억
원) 가량을 지원하는 방안을 제안할 것이라고 마이니치 신문이 보도했다.
보도에 따르면 오는 4일부터 오스트리아를 방문하는 고노 다로 외무상은 아마노 유키야 IAEA 사무총장과
만나 이러한 방안을 제안할 방침이라고 연합뉴스가 전했다.
구체적으로는 일본 정부가 IAEA에 거출한 '핵 비확산 기금'(약 3억5000만엔)을 북한의 핵 사찰에 필요한
초기비용으로 충당하도록 하자는 것이다. 고노 외무상은 북한의 비핵화에 필요한 기술자 파견 등 인적 지
원 의사도 전달할 것으로 전망됐다.
마이니치는 북한의 비핵화 로드맵이 확정되면 북한이 핵무기와 핵관련시설 상황을 IAEA에 신고해야 하
며, IAEA는 사찰관을 파견해 원자로나 우라늄 농축시설 등 관련시설의 중단 상황을 검증하게 된다고 덧붙
