니키 헤일리 유엔주재 미국 대사는 29일(현지시간) 북한의 '화성-15형' 대륙간탄도미사일(ICBM) 발사 도
발과 관련, "모든 유엔 회원국들은 북한과의 외교 및 교역 관계를 단절해야 한다"고 말했다.
헤일리 대사는 이날 오후 뉴욕 유엔본부에서 열린 안전보장이사회 긴급회의에서 "도널드 트럼프 대통령이
시진핑 중국 국가주석에게 대북 원유공급을 중단해야 한다고 말했다"고 전하면서 이같이 밝혔다.
헤일리 대사는 "우리는 북한과의 전쟁을 절대로 추구하지 않는다. 지금도 마찬가지"라면서도 "만약 전쟁이
난다면, 이는 어제 목격한 것 같은 (북한의) 공격적인 행동 때문일 것"이라고 말했다.
그러면서 "만약 전쟁이 난다면 북한 정권은 완전히 파괴될 것"이라며 "실수하지 말라"고 경고했다.'[데일
