 진종오 대역전극… 사격神話 쏘다
 7위까지 떨어졌다 6→3→2→1… 올림픽 사격 사상 첫 3連覇

펜싱 박상영도 '대역전 드라마'… 에페 부문 첫 금메달 안겨


대역전의 날이었다. 사격의 진종오(37·KT), 남자 펜싱 에페의 박상영(20)이 궁지에 몰렸다가 대역전 드라마를 이룩하며 한국에 금메달을 선사했다. 진종오는 올림픽 3연속 우승의 신화까지 썼다.

진종오는 11일 오전(한국 시각) 리우올림픽 남자 사격 50m 권총 결선(올림픽 슈팅센터)에서 193.7점을 쏘아 베트남의 호앙 쑤안 빈(191.3점)을 제치고 금메달을 목에 걸었다. 올림픽 사격 사상 종목 첫 3연패(連覇)인 동시에 한국 선수로는 처음으로 3회 연속으로 올림픽 금메달을 목에 거는 영광을 안았다. 진종오는 2004 아테네(은1), 2008 베이징(금1, 은1), 2012 런던(금2)에 이어 네 대회 연속 올림픽 메달을 따낸 첫 한국 선수로도 이름을 올렸다. 본선 점수를 무시하고 다시 점수를 집계하는 결선은 첫 6발을 쏜 다음 2발마다 한 명씩 최하위를 탈락시키는 서바이벌 방식으로 진행됐다.

출발은 좋지 않았다. 중반 한때 7위까지 내려가 위기를 맞았다. 19번째 발에서 호앙 쑤앙 빈이 8.5점, 진종오가 10.0점을 쏘면서 진종오가 0.3점을 앞섰다. 그리고 운명의 마지막 발. 진종오의 총알은 9.3점을 맞혔고, 호앙은 8.2에 머물렀다.

펜싱의 박상영은 10일 리우 카리오카 결승전 경기에서 임레 게저(42·헝가리)에게 막판까지 10대14로 뒤지다가 47초간 5점을 잇달아 따내며 15대14로 대역전승했다.
