달에 두고 온 미국인 우주비행사 찰스 듀크의 가족사진이 화제다.
[전재우 기자=푸른한국닷컴]영국 매체 더선은 지난 13일(현지시각) 40여 년 전 달에 착륙한 바 있는 우주비행사 찰스듀크가 달 에 남기고 온 미소를 짓고 있는‘가족사진’을 공개했다.
40여 년 전 달에 착륙했던 우주비행사 듀크는 “달 표면에 발자국만 남기고 지구로 돌아온 것은 아니다. 사실 두 아들, 아내와 함께 찍은 가족사진도 옆에 남겨뒀다”고 털어놨다.
그는 혹시 외계인이 사진을 발견할지도 모른다는 생각에 ‘지구에서 온 우주비행사 듀크의 가족. 1972년 4월에 착륙함’이란 메모를 적어 놓은 것으로 전해졌다.
NASA 관계자는 “많은 우주비행사가 달에 개인적인 기념품을 남기고 온다. 듀크는 가족을 가장 소중하게 생각한 모양이다”고 밝혔다.
네티즌들은 “달에 가서도 가족생각 가슴 뭉클하다”, “가족애를 실천하는 멋진 아빠 멋진 남편이네”, “나는 화성에 가서 한번 해보고 싶다” 등의 반응을 보였다.
